Discovering Anchorage

Day 1:

  • Start your day by exploring downtown Anchorage, including the Anchorage Museum and the Alaska Native Heritage Center.

  • Next, take a scenic drive along the Turnagain Arm and stop at Beluga Point for a chance to see beluga whales and enjoy stunning views of the water and mountains.

  • In the evening, head to Sourdough Mining Company for a delicious meal and live music.

Day 2:

  • Spend your second day exploring the Chugach Mountains. Take a hike on one of the many trails in Chugach State Park or go for a scenic drive on the Glenn Highway.

  • You can also take a day trip to the nearby town of Girdwood and ride the scenic tram to the top of Mount Alyeska for panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers.

  • In the evening, head back to Anchorage and enjoy dinner at Simon & Sea-forts, a popular seafood restaurant with stunning views of the water.

Day 3:

  • Spend your last day in Anchorage exploring the wildlife and nature in the area. Take a guided tour of the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center or visit the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge for a chance to see whales, seabirds, and other marine life.

  • You can also take a scenic flight-seeing tour over the glaciers and mountains surrounding Anchorage.

  • In the evening, head to Snow City Cafe for a delicious meal and some of the best coffee in town.

This itinerary is just a starting point, and there are many other things to see and do in Anchorage. Whether you're interested in wildlife viewing, hiking, or just enjoying the natural beauty of Alaska, there's something for everyone.
